17 May VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR “NIŠVILLE 2023” FESTIVAL!
Nišville Jazz Festival, this year as well, offers young people a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the biggest Serbian and European cultural events while making productive and enjoyable use of a part of their summer and improving themselves through an active and attractive volunteer program.
The application period is open from May 18th to June 30th, 2023, for 200 young people aged 15 to 30, as well as for 20 older individuals (aged 60 to 75), who will participate together in the Nišville volunteer program from August 3rd to 15th, 2023.
So far, over 3,700 volunteers have participated in the festival’s volunteer program since 2010. During this period, the volunteer team has gathered young people from around 120 different cities from both Serbia and abroad. In 2012, the Nišville volunteer team received recognition from the City of Niš in the form of a gold medal with the likeness of Emperor Constantine for their special volunteer contribution to the promotion and development of culture. At the end of 2013, the volunteer program was declared the best youth project of that year by the Umbrella Organization of Youth in Serbia.
Nišville Jazz Festival invites all interested candidates from Serbia and abroad to apply for volunteering and contribute to the realization of this significant cultural event through their engagement.
The volunteer team will be divided into nine sectors:
Audience Host – Performs activities related to welcoming the audience, including ticket inspection, exchanging tickets for wristbands, directing and guiding the audience in the main festival area.
Musician Host – Takes care of the musicians during their stay in Niš. The task of the musician host is to accompany the performers and provide them with what they need, as well as escorting them to the festival area, accommodation, press center, workshops, etc.
Marketing – Performs activities related to festival branding and sponsorship, from setting up advertisements to working at promotional stands.
Press – Handles the organization and implementation of the festival’s press service activities.
Technical Support – Performs activities related to stage preparation and technical realization at the main stages, as well as at all other stages and venues of the Nišville festival.
Logistics – Provides support during the preparation and implementation of the accompanying festival program, as well as in the central festival area.
Workshop – Organizes the space and participants of the festival workshops, as well as the accompanying educational matinee program.
Security – Supports the professional security service at all festival locations and performs security-related activities.
Catering – Handles food and beverage delivery for performers, technicians, and volunteers at all festival locations.

The application process is open until June 30th, when the application form will also be closed. Interviews with candidates will be conducted between July 5th and 15th, 2023. The selection of chosen candidates will be made by July 20th, 2023.
