The record captures his stellar 2025 performance at the festival, where he presented his project "Mingus Portrait."

About the Artist and Project
Attilio Zanchi (born 1953, Milan) studied at the Milan Conservatory and furthered his expertise in Canada and the USA, learning from greats such as Dave Holland. Over a career spanning more than 150 albums, he has recorded with a long list of world-class musicians.
"Mingus Portrait" is a long-standing tribute to Charles Mingus, developed by Zanchi over two decades alongside a close-knit group of inspired musicians.
The septet that performed at Nishville features renowned Italian musicians with distinguished performing and pedagogical careers: Gianni Azzali (tenor sax/alto flute), Tino Traccana (sopran/alto sax), Andrea Andreoli (trombone), Daniele Nocella (trumpet), Massimo Colombo (piano), and Tommy Bradascio (drums).
