Milan Petrović Quartet was formed in 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia. The quartet performs original compositions of Milan Petrović, as well as unique arrangements of famous musical themes. As one of the most active instrumental bands in Serbia, the quartet performs at the festivals and venues all across the Balkans. Their music is influenced by funk, jazz, blues and world music genres.
Youri Honing Acoustic Quartet is going to perform at Nisville 2016, at Sunday, August 14th. Beside Honing, memebers of the band are: pianist Wolfert Brederode, Icelandic bassplayer Gulli Gudmundsson and Dutch drummer Joost Lijbaart. For seven years in a row, Nišville jazz festival has had the status of 'the festival of jazz and volunteers'. Unfortunately, because of the financial problems, the number of volunteers for Nišville 2016 will be reduced from 400 to 300. Starting from 2010, more than 2000 volunteers have participated in the organization of the festival.
