Nisville and ARTEF invite young artsists
Nišville Foundation and the Association of Artist ARTEF invites young artists up to 36 years, which are expressing in the form of sculptures, paintings and drawings, to apply for the participation on the second, artistic colonization of Nis Fortress called "ART TO GO JAZZY".
Famous reggae star Alpha Blondy is going to perform at Nišville festival 2017 (friday, August 11th) with his band Solar System.
Alpha Blondy (born Seydou Koné; 1 January 1953 in Dimbokro, Ivory Coast) is a reggae singer and international recording artist. Many of his songs are politically and socially motivated, and are mainly sung in his native language of Dioula, French and in English, though he occasionally uses other languages, for example, Arabic or Hebrew.
Traditionally, Nišville Jazz Festival awards the greatest Serbian musicians with the Lifetime Achievement Award: This year, the award goes to the renowned jazz and popular music singer Bisera Veletanlić. Bisera will perform at the opening of Nišville 2017, on August 10.

Legendary drummer Al Foster and his Quintet is going to perform program „Tribute to Charlie Parker“ at Nisville 2017, at Friday August 11th. The members of quinete are: Mike DiRubbo (alt sax), Freddie Hendrix (trumpet), Adam Birnbaum (piano) and Doug Weiss (bass).
